Fill in the registration form here to let us know about yourself, your home and preferences

STEP 2

HOME VISIT

We will arrange a home visit and may take some pictures of the rooms and common areas to help us create your host profile for schools and students

STEP 3

COMPLETE ONBOARDING

We arrange the paperwork for you and once completed you will have joined the Host Family Stay network!

STEP 4

HOMESTAY BOOKING

We will contact you with bookings that match your profile. The more flexible and open you are with your preferences, the more bookings you will be likely to receive!

WELCOME YOUR GUEST!

Welcome your first guest and enjoy the experience!

REMUNERATION TO HOSTS

Weekly rates depend on the property's condition and amenities, location and meal plans offered and generally vary between £100 to £300 per week. You will have your assigned rate once your registration is complete. Payments are made every 2 weeks in arrears via bank transfer to the hosts’ bank account.

FAQ

What are my responsibilities as a Host?

Hosts must provide a bed, wardrobe and study space as well as meal plan(s), breakfast as a minimum. Hosts will be expected to be friendly, help the guests improve their spoken English and guide them as they adjust to the life in the UK.​​

Who are guests
and where do they come from?

Most Host Family Stay guests are students or interns between the ages of 16-28 and many come from EU countries. They visit the UK to either study English, get work experience or participate in a semester abroad, Erasmus or other exchange program.

How long is a typical homestay?

Typical duration of homestay with host families is 2 to 4 weeks, although some guests prefer to stay for up to 5-6 months, subject to their host's availability. You are welcome to host for as long as you prefer at any one time.
